Thanksgiving is tomorrow and everyone in our office is getting ready for a big feast tomorrow with friends and family. We’re all in the Thanksgiving spirit, so I thought it would be a perfect time to share some Thanksgiving-inspired logos.
Dogpile
Dogpile is a search engine that ‘fetches’ results from other search engines like Google. The image above is their Thanksgiving logo from 2011. The dogs in the logo are sitting down for a thanksgiving feast and they’re adorable. We can’t see that bulldogs face but can you imagine how much he’s drooling at that holiday ham?
Virginia Tech Hokies
As a huge sports fan, I’m little biased toward this logo. The Virginia Tech Hokie is a hybrid turkey, far from ideal for thanksgiving dinner. The name, “Hokie” was created by a VT student in 1896. After finding the best fight song with the word “hoki” in it they changed their mascot from the “Gobblers” to the “Hokies.”
MBS Crossfit
This logo is so simple, it’s perfect! It takes me back to the days of arts and crafts in kindergarten. This, however, is better than anything I made back then. The MBS Crossfit Turkey Challenge took place in Broomfield, CO this past weekend.
Mayflower Transit
This image depicts really what Thanksgiving is all about, the famous ship the pilgrims voyaged on to land in America … the Mayflower. I really like this logo, I think the different shades of green really make the logo stand out.
Indian Motorcycles
Thanksgiving wouldn’t be a holiday without the history of Native Americans. This logo depicts a Native American’s head-dress, which in this case is shaped like the gas tank on a motorcycle. Creative specifically this way to fit perfectly for the Indian Motorcycles brand. Indian is one of the oldest motorcycle brands, this logo is not their most modern logos but one of their older ones.
Google is quite notorious for the changes in its logo for a holiday. Their designers always do a great job, and nailed it again last year with their 2011 Thanksgiving logo. I can’t wait to see what they roll out tomorrow.
Normal Cornbelters
The majority of us love a side of corn with our Thanksgiving Day Feast. This logo represents a baseball team in a Frontier League. In my mind, it’s the coolest piece of corn ever.
Wild Turkey Bourbon
Wild Turkey is a brand of bourbon that got its unique name from its owner. The owner said bourbon was brought with him every year for an annual turkey shoot. This brand may not give off a “bourbon vibe,” but it has a great story and is quite unique.
I’m sure there are plenty more of Thanksgiving-inspired designs out there, truth is I’d love to see them! Be sure to tweet your favorites to us – ” target=”_blank”>@LogoSnap.
